Local Knowledge
Character Homes Need Careful Work
Barrowford has some of the area’s most characterful properties – stone-built cottages and terraces, Victorian villas and older homes in the heart of the village – alongside plenty of modern houses. Older buildings bring their own challenges, and a good result depends on preparation.
- Original features – coving, ceiling roses, picture rails and panelled doors painted with care and precision.
- Older walls – cracks filled, surfaces sanded and made good, so uneven plaster still gets a smooth, even finish.
- Modern homes – fresh colour schemes, feature walls and statement wallpaper for newer houses and extensions.
I also cover Colne, Nelson, Burnley, Foulridge and the surrounding villages.

Testimonials
What My Customers Say
Scott has done an amazing job decorating several rooms in the house for us over the past 12 months and we could not be happier with the quality and consistency of his workmanship! Scott is a real perfectionist and just gets on with the job in hand quietly and steadily in his own meticulous way. He is also one of the cleanest and tidiest workmen I have ever encountered. It has been an absolute pleasure to have him around and see each room transformed beyond our expectations. I cannot recommend him highly enough and would not hesitate to do so to anyone wanting a quality job at a very reasonable price!
Scott did a wonderful job, super hardworking and great quality with a superb attention to detail. I'd definitely recommend for any paint/decorator job you need!
Would highly recommend Scott — he has just completed an awesome transformation of my kitchen diner. His attention to detail on the prep work has resulted in an immaculate finish. My slightly unconventional wallpaper looks beautiful. Trustworthy, hard working and very talented. Won’t hesitate to employ him again — love the end result.
Scott is a lovely, friendly guy and his decorating skills are perfection. He decorated my hall and landing and my bathroom. I would highly recommend, and I am booking him in to decorate the bedrooms this year. He is extremely precise in his work and goes out of his way for his customers to make sure they are happy.
He works to an excellent standard and is very pleasant and helpful. He causes as little disruption as possible while he transforms your home.
Scott has always decorated at our home. He always does a fantastic job and always turns up when he says he is going to. Works really hard and his work is always top quality. I would highly recommend.
Scott has completed multiple jobs for us — transforming our bedroom and dining room, brightening up our kitchen, painting our bathroom fresh from plaster, and all the wardrobe woodwork in our bedroom! His attention to detail is meticulous, sorting out any discrepancies in our old walls. He is also a pleasure to have working in your home! Top quality work, would definitely recommend 👍
